| Lets talk about us! |
Galway Co-operative Housing Development Society Ltd. (GCHDS) also referred to as Galway Co-op Housing was formed in 1993. This was on the basis of original members’ very personal experience and awareness of housing needs in Galway. Many people, maybe you, are still experiencing housing need in Galway and are looking to find ways to address this need. In Galway Co-operative Housing we understand the importance of housing and are clear about our vision. |
| Our Vision |
We see Housing as a basic human right. Market forces sometimes deny people with limited resources the opportunity to avail of affordable, good quality housing with security of tenure. Such housing, we believe, is critical to each person’s ability to benefit from, participate in and contribute fully to society and their community. Our vision for Galway Co-operative Housing is that we continue to grow and develop so we can best respond to members needs for:
operatives.
We strive to address these needs in a manner consistent with our co-operative values and principles and we work to create sustainable solutions to both current and future housing needs. |
| Our Mission: |
| To provide and manage high quality housing, and related supports, based on co-operative principles towards relief of housing need. In doing this we will add value to the quality of life of members and generate vibrant neighbourhoods and sustainable communities. |
